Summer Sports?
Cruz Ibarra said that he will be doing weights and practicing football during summer. He did not enjoy sports this year because we lost almost every game. He did enjoy track because we won the SWC meet. He said that he will make smarter choices and be more mentaly prepared for games. Cruz said that “ The sports will only get harder but he is willing to put in the work to get better.”
Lili Lasker said that she will go to camps and start volleyball practice. She did enjoy the sports she played this year except basketball because she broke her ankle. Lili played Basketball, Volleyball, and ran Track. Lili will work harder and try to get better. She will try to be more mentally prepared for sports this year.
Cash Raley said that he will be playing baseball and weights. He enjoyed sports this year because he won the championship in football. Cash is doing boxing to work on his footwork in football. He will play football and baseball for Junior High. For football cash will try to get quicker. He will work on batting and fielding for baseball.
Layla Jones said that she will be playing softball and practicing volleyball over the summer. She enjoyed sports this year because her teammates and coaches made the sport fun. Layla will work harder and always give it her all. When she gets into Middle school sports she will play Basketball, Softball, Volleyball, and run Track.

Special Edition - Elementary Week

This week we interviewed kids from the elementary school. The kids that we chose to interview were Sam Lathem, Javier Cruz, and Ian Pack. First we asked Sam what sports he played and he said “I play Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Soccer."In baseball he plays pitcher and shortstop. Sam said that he is the best player on the team. Sam likes to watch football and his favorite team is the Kansas City Chiefs. Sam also likes to go hunting, fishing, and riding his dirt bike.
The next person that we interviewed was Ian Pack. Ian Pack has 2 siblings Izabella and Ben. Ian plays Football for the Pierce City Mighty Mights. Ian likes the Kansas City Chiefs. Other outdoor activities like fishing, hunting and playing outside.
The last person that we interviewed was Javier Cruz. We asked him what sports he played and he said “Baseball and Basketball.” He is the catcher for his baseball team. He likes the Chiefs and has 4 older siblings. Outside of school he works on the farm with his dad and plays outside.

7th and 8th Grade Week

What they said here: We went to go interview Ayden and Lili about the sport they play. The first question we asked them was “What sport do you like to talk about the most and why ?” Ayden said “ I like to talk about football because it is interesting.” Then Lili responds with “Uhhh, basketball because if they know what they are talking about.” The next question was “What sport do you like playing the most and why?” Lili said “ Great question, I like volleyball and basketball because I like to make the crowd go wild.” Then Ayden responded with “Football because I like to hurt people.”
The next question was “Who is your favorite sports idol ?” Ayden said that “Najee Harris was his favorite sports idol.” Then Lili said that “I like Tyreek Hills.” Are next question was “How did you feel about the coaches you had last year?” Ayden said that he didn’t want to answer that question but Lili responded with “I like them because they worked us in shape.”
Are last question was “If you could be any famous sport person who would you be and why?” Lili said “ I would like to be Lebron James.” Then Ayden replied with “Partick Mahomes for the fame and money.” Next week we will be interviewing a coach and one of there players.

8th grade sports

We went to go interview Alyssa and Jessie about their sports.The first question we asked was “Who is your favorite coach?” Alyssa respond with “ Coach Vaun because she is funny and she is not bad at her job.” Then Jessie said “Coach Ward because he is a nice guy and he makes you feel like you won the lottery.” The second question was “What is your favorite sport and why?” Alysaa said “volleyball because it is the only sport that I played.” Then jessie responded with “basketball because i watched a tv show about it so I thought i am going to play.”
The third question was “What made you want to play this sport?” Alyssa responded with “because I have been playing it a long time”. Then jessie said “ I watched a tv show about it:”. The fourth question was “What is your favorite sport to watch and why?” Alysaa said “ Football, because it gets you interested in it.” Then Jessie answered with “Basketball it’s cool to watch.”
The final question was “How did you feel about your teammates last year?” Jessie said “ It was fun to play with everyone.” Then Alysaa said “We were pretty good, we weren't bad.” Those were all the questions for this week.

We went to go interview Tessa and Keenan. The first question we asked was “What is your favorite warm up song for your sport?” Tessa respond with “ I of the Tiger'' Then we asked Keenan the same question he respond with “ This may sound stuipd but Hall of Fame.” The second question was “Who is your sports idol and why?” Tessa said she doesn't have one and Keenan said “ Shack.”
The third question we asked them both was “What was one of the first sports you played?” Keenan and Tessa both replied “Basketball.” The fourth question was “Are you thinking about doing any new sport and why?” Keeni said “ Yes, because I think I have good potential.’’ Then Tessa replied with “Softball.” The last question was “How did you feel about your coaches last year?” Keenia said “Pretty good and overall it was great.” Then Tessa responded with “They were funny.” Those were all the questions asked this week.
High School Week

We went to go inview Kyler and Laira about the sports they play. The first question we asked was “What sport do you play and why?” Kyler replied with “ Your mom” but went on to say “ Basketball, Football, and golf because it is fun.” Then Laira replied with “ Volleyball and track because of my friends.” The next question we asked was “What made you want to play?” Kyler and Laira both answered with “ My Friends.”
The next question was “What was one of your biggest challenges?” Kyler answered with “ I don’t have challenges because I am fly.” Then Laira answered with “ Long distance running.” The fourth question we asked was “How do you think your team was last year?” Kyler and Laira both answered with “I liked my team a lot.”
The last question we asked was “Do you like playing for Pierce city and why?” Kyler responded with “Yes, because we are a good school.” Then Laira responded with “Yes because of my friends.” That is all the questions this week.
Coaches Week

This week we interviewed the coaches. We interviewed Coach Donson and Coach Vaughan. The first question was “What made you decide to be a coach?” Coach Donson said “ Uhh, coaches I had previous years help me decide.” Then Coach Vaughan replied with “ I love sports, I want to help kids. I also love it.” The next question we asked was “What was one of the best teams you coach?” Donson said “All the teams I had were fierce, the quarter finals football made it to state.”
The next question was “Who is your favorite sports idol?” Coach Vaughan said “Jef Curry or Mickey Jordan.” Then Donson said “ My favorite player is Brian Weastbrook.” The fourth question we asked was “Are you going to coach any new sports this year?” Donson said “ I don’t think I can coach much more.” Then Vaughan said “ Softball is the only new sport, I also help out with track sometimes.”
The final question was “Who was your favorite coach growing up?” Vaughn replied with “Henry she always pushed me hard and did good.” Then we asked and finally answered with “ My assistant coach Dennme Henry and Duke Smith football coach.” That some up the week about are coaches.

6th Grade Sports Week

This is the week for softball/baseball we went to go interview Andi Himes and Walker Earl for softball and baseball. The first question we asked them was “ What is your goal in softball/baseball ?” Andi answered with “ To try I guess or try my hardest.” We also asked Walker the same question and he responded with “ To hit so many home runs.” The second question we asked was “ What was one of your biggest challenges in softball/baseball? ” After long thinking Andi responded with “ Running because it tired me out. ” Walker also responded with “ Nothing really. ”
The next question we asked was “ What did you think about your softball/baseball team last year? ” With careful consideration Andi responded with “ I think they were good and tried hard.” Walker responded with confidence “ Pretty good we were good we went to a tournament.” The fourth question we asked was “ How much do you think you improved from the first time you played to now ?” Andi and Walker both answered “ A lot.”
The final question was “ What is your favorite sport and why?” Andi responded with “ Softball because I find it fun and interesting.” Walker responded with “ Baseball because I grew up with it.” That finalizes this week of sports. Next week we will be interviewing coaches.
Senior Night

We went to go interview seniors for their senior night. One of the five questions we asked them was, “ Are you excited for your last season?” Ashton responded with “Yes I am.” Then Chelsey responded with “Yes.” Next question we asked was “ How much do you think you improved from the first time you played basketball to this year.” Chelsey and Asthon both said “ A whole lot.”
The next question we asked them was ,“Did you ever think about quitting and why?”. Ashton said “ No, because I love the sport.” Chelsey responded with “ Every day.” The fourth question we asked was “Who made you want to play?
Chelsey said “ My friends.” Ashton said “ My dad.” The last question we asked was “Who was one of the best teams you played in basketball?” Chelsey said “ Miller” and Ashton said “ King's AU.” Those were all the question we asked.
Double Trouble

We went to interview Emerie Brown and Luke Eaton about Basketball and Football. Emerie did her whole season of basketball while Luke did football.The first question we asked was, “What made you decide to play this sport?” Emerie replied with, “ Mrs Blinzer asked me to play for her so I played.” Then we asked Luke the same question for basketball. Luke said, “I did it because some of my friends told me to do it but I didn’t want to try something new.” This is when Luke tried of basketball.
The second question we asked, “What did you think about your coaches?” Luke told us that, “ He taught me in PE I did like my football coaches." Emerie was asked the same question and she replied with, “ I liked it when they discipline us”. The third question we asked the both of them was, "Do you think you are a good player?" Emerie told us “ I am not bad, it is my first year playing. I am in the middle.” Luke also replied with ,“ I did pretty desiccant I think I did my job.”
Finally the last question we asked them was, "How did you feel about your team this year?" Luke told us that “ It was a rough season. Hopefully we get a comeback next year.” After we asked that question to Luke and Emerie told us “My team, I guess we weren’t bad, we were good teammates.” Those were the final questions and answers.
